Sigma Tau Delta by Maureen Geiger, President 1999-2000   The 1999-2000 officers for the Alpha Epsilon Xi chapter of Sigma Tau Delta are planning an exciting year to bring in the new millennium. The chapter hosted an Irish Heritage Day in October to help promote Maire Mullins' Literary Tour of Ireland next summer. And we are hoping to bring in an author or two during the year. One activity we'd like to do involves participation by you, our alums. We'd love to have one or more career workshops for English majors and minors and those considering an English major or minor. We need volunteers from our English alums to come in and talk to students about what you did with your English degree after graduation. The idea is to promote all the things one can do with a degree in English. Please consider giving a couple of hours of your time to this worthy cause. A small stipend will be offered for your trouble.
