Persecuted Professor Sami Al-Arian Receives Favourable Verdict

Professor Sami Al-Arian was acquitted of many charges of alleged “terrorism”. He was fired from the University of South Florida when indicted for allegedly supporting Palestinian Islamic Jihad, named a terrorist organization by the State Dept. An indictment is not a conviction but a grand jury approval of charges brought by a prosecutor, in this case the Department of Justice under the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. act. Organizations that concentrate on liberating Palestine are labelled “terrorist” and Israeli depredations, which are just as horrid if not more destructive, are supported or ignored or gently chided.

Professor Al-Arian, a Kuwaiti native, was mentioned in an article I wrote about professors that were persecuted for their political beliefs.
