Chicago City Council: Stop the War Now!

Chicago and other city governments have passed resolutions endorsing an immediate end of the Iraq War. Chicago’s resolution, that passed in September 2004, “argues that Chicago’s portion [of the war funding] could have paid for Head Start for 238,056 children for one year or 31,147 public school teachers for a year.”

Some sixty-seven cities (67) have passed antiwar, withdrawal resolutions as of November 2005.
