Baby Killers at Haditha May Get Justice But Is It Enough?

This is the latest over the My Lai-like massacre at Haditha, Iraq in November. Yet the real baby killers are the arm-chair general staff and senior civilian leadership that brought this war to America under the most egregious and false circumstances. It is appropriate that those who shoot babies be held liable for such dastardly deeds but war-crimes and violating the laws of war should escalate up the chain of command.

Note how the military tried to cover it up by lying about the conditions at the time of the slaughter. The dishonour of the military cannot be ignored both in the violation of the laws of war and in their effort to cover up murder.

"The first official report from the military, issued on Nov. 20, said that "a U.S. marine and 15 Iraqi civilians were killed yesterday from the blast of a roadside bomb" and that "immediately following the bombing, gunmen attacked the convoy with small-arms fire."
