The St Louis Cardinals, one of the greatest franchises in the history of American sport, celebrate their 10th World Series 2006 championship after winning Game 5 over the Detroit Tigers 4-2 at Busch Stadium.

1) They are the only team in American sport that wears different coloured caps for home and away games.

2) They are the only team in American baseball that wears the same uniforms, except for colour, for home and away games. The birds on the bat are always worn as a paean to the great bird of North American provenance.
